Silver Grouse Claw Pin Brooch SOLD!!

This early Victorian item is a grouse foot brooch and was lovingly made with sterling silver and 2 foilback paste “topaz” gems in Scotland usually wearied by Scottish man as a good luck token during his grouse hunt through the heathered hills.

Sterling Silver Grouse Claw Scottish Pin Brooch

It has a very good condition for it’s age and is often worn in tartans, scarfs and kilts, by both men and women. With both stones in pristine condition but not sure if it’s metal ware is in pure Scottish silver but this pin brooch it’s very rare to find in such quality these days.

Which also incorporated the fact that  Queen Victoria loved all things Scottish, thereby popularising stones such as Ciarngorms.

It’s not hallmarked and measures 8.5cmx3.5cm.  It’s claps works perfectly.

It’s on sale trough e-bay but if you’re interested in buying it, please e-mail me and we can discuss the sales details.

Thank you for reading,

VS
